Bio

(b.1980) Waterford. BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting at Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork – 2000-2004. Aidan was a participant in the painting mentorship programme with Turps Banana Art School, London – 2021-2023. He is currently living and working in Sligo where he has recently completed a 6-month residency award at The Model Studios, funded by Sligo Arts Service. He was the recipient of the ESB Keating Award and Silver Medal at the RHA in 2022 and the Zurich Portrait Prize 2020 at the National Gallery of Ireland. Primarily a painter, he has been continually developing his practice since 2005 while also teaching and working with arts in the community.
